“We live to be men and women for others. We pay it forward and empower dreams through education.” — The Ateneo de Naga University Xavier Foundation was officially launched last December 3, 2024, at the Xavier Hall (Bagumbayan Campus), as part of the commemoration of the feast day of St. Francis Xavier. Attending the event were members of the Ateneo community, donors, alumni, and scholars. In coordination with the ADNU Xavier Foundation launch, developers from Revlv Solutions Inc., a 3rd party technology provider, also launched “Batchmates,” a fund-generating app of the foundation to “help schools, colleges, and universities receive scholarship funding from generous individuals, making education accessible to financially disadvantaged but well-deserving students,” as presented in their mission-vision statement. The ADNU Xavier Foundation was established by the pioneer batch of the Xavier Honors Dormitory as a tribute to former ADNU president, Fr. Joel Tabora, SJ who built the dormitory and supported the scholar-dormers throughout their stay in the university. Additionally, Revlv Solutions Inc. was co-founded by Ryan Labrador (CEO), one of the scholar-dormers of Xavier Dorm and interim president of ADNU Xavier Foundation. The launching of the foundation and app was followed by a short program showcasing highlights of the dormitory life of the founders and inspirational stories from scholars. Also held was the formalization of the foundation through a memorandum of understanding with ADNU (the first beneficiary).Fr. Joel Tabora, SJ, ADNU's second university president (from 1999 to 2011) closed the program with an inspirational speech, inviting the audience to look back in gratitude for the gift of education and formation at the Ateneo de Naga, instilling the school mottos "Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam" and "Primum Regnum Dei," and to pay it forward out of gratitude for all these, with a heart and mind of a true scholar.Watch the Event Highlight Video below
